A jury has found that former president Donald Trump sexually abused and defamed E. Jean Carroll. Carroll, a writer, accused the former president of raping her in a Manhattan department store in the mid-1990s. Trump, who maintains the incident never happened, did not appear in court or testify in the civil case. The jury awarded Carroll a total of five million dollars in damages.
